Is there anyway to increase your chances of conceiving a Girl!?

I know that every child is special but i already have a 2year old boy (he is everything to me, the air that i breathe) but #2 we would really love to conceive a girl, it would be nice to have one of each & for our little boy to be protective of her when they both grow up!! i know that to increase your chances you are to not have sex right on ovulation, but dont really want to do that i just would like to know what foods & stuff like that.. like fruits!

Thanks so much everyone

Although nothing is guaranteed, we followed some simple steps, and it worked for us.

Eating certain foods may help sway you to have a baby girl…
eat plenty of leafy green vegetable, asparagus, cucumber, tomatoes, beetroot and try to limit potatoes.
Fruits to avoid are bananas, oranges apricots and plums..
Basically a diet rich in magnesium but low in sodium – and the good news is, it is ok and recommended to eat chocolate! YAY!

The best time to conceive a little girl is 3 days prior to ovulation, with the best position being you on top. We were also told that a woman should not orgasm…..lol – these are probably all wives tales but it worked for us. I also remember doing a handstand after we were done and almost dislocating a shoulder in the process! hahaha
After just one month of trying, we conceived our daughter.

Have fun with trying and good luck!!

    I dont think u can. it’ll be what’ll be!

Sorry scientifically it will always be a 50% of a boy and 50% girl so theres nothing you can do unless you are artificially inseminated. So just pray really hard i guess… Sc females do not have sperm…lol it is all biology nothing can change it… it all depends on the male sperm…the female will always give an X chromosome and sperm may give either another X producing a girl or a Y which would produce a boy

A lot of people will tell you that eating more dairy will produce a girl – but there is not proven way to help create a girl (cept for ‘designer babies’ and Im not sure if thats available to the public yet!)

The sex you conceive is largely a matter of chance and, obviously, the most important thing is that your baby is healthy, but if you’re really keen for a boy or girl, there are supposedly some things you can try to tip the balance.
Female sperm are thought to be stronger than male sperm, so have sex earlier on in your cycle, rather than on the day of ovulation, and don’t orgasm during sex.
To conceive a girl, eat plenty of dairy products, unsalted foods, rice, pasta, mineral water, nuts and shellfish and limited amounts of meat and potatoes and avoid the ‘boy’ foods listed below.
To conceive a boy, eat salty foods, plenty of meat, fish, white flour, pasta, spinach, tomatoes, mushrooms and fresh fruit and avoid the ‘girl’ foods listed above.
To conceive a boy, make love at night, on odd days of the month and in hot weather; to conceive a girl, initiate the sex yourself, make love in the afternoon, in cold weather and on even days of the month.

There is nothing at all that will increase your chances. Believe me I have tried every old wives tale and theory and they are all wrong. I should know. I have 7 boys and finally at the end a girl.
Realistically you should be prepared to have either sex and be very happy and grateful for whatever you get.
I love my kids dearly and I wouldn’t change my life for anything.
I am so proud of all my boys and my beautiful princess.

male sperm X are faster swimmers than female sperm XY, so the textbooks say when you are fertile have sex within a few days later because it says if you have sex on the day you are most fertile you are most likely to have a boy, female sperm are slower than male sperm but they live longer, which is why people who "plan out" there pregnancy’s usually have boys because they are trying to conceive and know there ovulation dates whereas people who "accidentally" fall pregnant usually will have a girl

  8. manni's wifey says:

It best to have sex before ovulation, but look on the bright side at less you concieve and be able to have kids.
